Wuri Wuri - Amazing Indigenous Designs
Wuri Wuri is a passion project that began as a conversation between two best friends. What started as a creative way to share the love of Country soon took on a life of its own. Wuri Wuri founder, Gene Ross, was born on Gadigal land, with connections to North NSW, the Murray and North Queensland. His family experiences and life as a saltwater man bring a unique perspective to the art he creates for Wuri Wuri, celebrating the beauty and strength of Aboriginal culture.
Generating Secondary Revenue Streams
Gene created Wuri Wuri to convey the story of Aboriginal people through education, sharing 65,000 years of knowledge and appreciating that the natural world and the spiritual world are one and the same.
Gene came to Create Apparel looking for quality and speed to market. He liked the idea of dropshipping but was worried about problems he had encountered with other print houses. He used the Merchsprint platform to develop an online shop to sell and dropship his range of Tee Shirts displaying the awesome indigenous graphics that is the basis of Wuri Wuri. It was such a success that he uploaded Wuri Wuri’s broad range of customised apparel products include vibrant prints on high-quality tees, hoodies, tanks, singlets, sweatshirts, caps, tote bags, and more. Others soon embraced this distinctive way of seeing the world, and the company now ships its products to schools and universities as well as individual clients around the world.
